There are eight total exercise moves in the Insanity workout test
Insanity Workout isn’t your mothers at home fitness video. This is a seriously challenging workout system. So challenging, you have to pass an Insanity Test to even begin. Okay, I’m exaggerating. The Insanity test isn’t a pass/fail type of thing. It’s an evaluation of your fitness level and used to assist you in determining your progress throughout the 60 day workout plan. There’s no reason to get sweaty palms and a stress headache over this test. However, a sweaty body and muscle soreness are highly probable.The Insanity Test is designed to be taken just before you begin your 60 day Insanity Workout journey. It is to give you a baseline of your fitness capabilities. After you begin the program, you are asked to retake the Insanity Test every two weeks to see how you are improving.
So what does the Insanity Test entail? Well there are a few different workout moves in the insanity workout dvd set that you will be expected to perform. Not once, but as many times as possible. It’s a timed test. You will be counting how many Power Jumps you can do in a minute, for instance. The focus here is on doing as many as possible while maintaining good form.
Though the Insanity test is an evaluation, it’s a workout too. You will have to work hard to get through this test—that’s the point. But as you will see from the beginning of week one to your first follow up test at the end of week two, these workout moves will get easier as you add on several with each test of your progress.

You’ll do Switch Kicks, Power Jacks, Power Knees, Power Jumps, Globe Jumps, Suicide Jumps, Push-up Jacks, and Low Plank Oblique.The Insanity test is found on the very first disc in the Insanity Workout sale series—the Dig Deeper disc. It will walk you through a warm up before Shaun T gives you detailed instructions on each testing move. Don’t be nervous, this test isn’t going to have any effect on your final grade. Instead, you will find these numbers dramatically climb throughout the sixty day Insanity Workout program, only one reason the test shouldn’t be skipped!
